Editorial and advertising policy
The people reading this site are often short on money and short on time. These rules exist so that nothing here nudges them toward borrowing.
Sources
- Fees, limits and how an app works come only from the company’s own fee pages, terms and help center.
- Rules come only from statutes, regulations, regulators and official guidance.
- Regulatory and legal history comes only from official records: agency press releases and orders, attorney general announcements, and court filings.
- We don’t quote or summarize user reviews, app store ratings or forum posts.
- Every fact links to its source and every page shows the date it was last checked. If we can’t confirm something, we say “not confirmed” instead of guessing.
How we write about companies
- We state what official records say and what their status is (an allegation, a settlement, an order, a dismissal), with the date. We don’t call a company a scam or make other judgments a record doesn’t make.
- We don’t repeat marketing phrases such as “no interest” or “free” on their own. When we mention them, we list what you actually pay.
- We show the real cost first, and every app page links to cheaper options.
- We don’t use any company’s or agency’s logo or brand colors.
Advertising
- The site may show display ads. Advertisers do not see pages before they go live and have no say over content, costs or the ranking.
- Ads will not be placed inside the cost figures, the ranking table or the calculator results.
- We don’t accept ads that are application forms for loans or advances, or that collect personal financial information on our pages.
Affiliate links
We don’t use affiliate links today. If we ever do, each one will be labeled right next to the link, and it will not change the order of any list or the costs we show.
Corrections
When we change a fact, we log it with the date on Corrections and changes. Each app’s published fee pages are checked by a person once a month.
